Community Policing
Deputy Trevor Johnson and Deputy Travis Schippers are assigned as Community Police Officers to Spring Lake Township. They work closely with the community in a proactive effort to prevent crime and promote safety. They can be contacted with area patrol requests or other neighborhood concerns; however if you need an officer dispatched immediately please call one of the dispatch numbers listed above.

Home Security Checks
Spring Lake Township, through its community policing officer, provides free vacation security checks to its citizens who will be away from their homes, businesses, or other facilities for a period of time. Deputies will periodically check the exterior of the property. This service is offered to deter potential burglars and provides additional security while your property is unoccupied. Any resident that will be out of the area may use the program, whether you are leaving for a short time or if you will be gone for several months.
Smart 9-1-1
Ottawa County Central Dispatch is participating in the Smart911 program. Sign up for Smart911 and create your own Safety Profile to give 9-1-1 valuable information about yourself, family members, your home, pets and even vehicles that will automatically display on the 9-1-1 call taker’s screen when you make an emergency call. It’s private and secure and you control what information is in your profile. These details can save valuable seconds or even minutes during an emergency
