The Spring Lake Township Ordinance Enforcement Officer handles complaints and violations observed by citizens and Township employees.
The Township Ordinance Enforcement Officer receives, investigates and enforces all ordinances, including:
- Inoperable vehicles
- Recreational vehicles
- Trash and junk
- Exterior building maintenance
- Signs
- Animal control (number of animals and barking)
- Noise
- Burning
- Cutting in wetlands
- Building without permits
- Parking on bike paths
- Motorized vehicles on bike paths
- Piling of snow on bike paths
- Vandalism on bike paths
If you have a complaint, call the Township at (616) 842-1340 or complete the form below. Once your complaint has been received, it will be investigated and the appropriate actions will be taken to correct the violation. Please do not expect the violation to be corrected immediately. There are specific guidelines to follow to remedy the problem, and this may take a few days or a few months.
